The talking puppet with the long nose gets into all sorts of mischief; running away from home, following the villainous cat and fox to the Field of Miracles and even manages to get swallowed up by the Great Whale of the Deep Sea. Between the adventures and his tales he learns about friendship and honesty and is put on the good path to become a real boy.

Carlo Collodi’s fairytale is brought to life in this fresh new stage adaptation written and directed by Joseph Ballard and performed by a company of local young actors aged 12-19.

The Norwich Young Actors Company meet on Thursday evenings in a city centre studio. All sessions are led by experienced directors and actors and past students have appeared on stage, in film and TV including BBC’s Casualty and Eastenders.
